PHOENIX -- Part two of the 3TV Summer Staycation Guide is a closer look at some of the must-see resorts and hotels in the Valley.  These are the places you just have to be able to say you've stayed at.

Iconic #1:  Arizona Biltmore
A Hollywood hangout since 1929, the Arizona Biltmore boasts Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture and is still one of our state’s biggest tourism draws more than 80 years later. Experience their Hollywood & Wine program, a summer-long series celebrating food, film and featuring celebrities including Dancing with the Stars pros, Clint Black and Gary Sinise. Package rates start at $119 with the third night free!
Iconic #2:  The Phoenician
What better place to enjoy the Arizona lifestyle than at The Phoenician? This is opulence at its best and, while it’s probably the most expensive staycation option with rates starting at $169 per night, that’s still a far cry from the peak season rates that easily climb above $500. Soak up the views of Camelback Mountain by the pool or the city lights at J&G Steakhouse or enjoy the best burgers at Relish Burger overlooking the golf course.
Honorable Mention:  The Wigwam Resort
Out-of-Town Guests:  Montelucia
Location, Location, Location! One of Arizona’s newest resorts, the Montelucia combines the style and design of the Mediterranean with the Desert’s most impressive backdrop – Camelback Mountain. The central location is perfect for visiting guests who want to experience the Valley in style and be near great shopping, dining, etc. There are several packages available on their website, but the best rates we found are $159 with a $50 resort credit.
Honorable Mention:  The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa
Best AZ Views:  The Sanctuary
Summer sunsets in Arizona are truly awe-inspiring and the best place to view that magic is from the Sanctuary Resort. This exclusive retreat is so stunning that you won’t know whether to look inside or out for the most jaw-dropping views. With “exclusive” being the key word, rates start at $165 with advanced purchase, which is an incredible bargain for this luxury escape.
Honorable Mention:  Sheraton Wild Horse Resort & Spa, Sheraton Downtown & Westin Downtown (especially during a monsoon!)
Retro Experience:  Hotel Valley Ho
First opened in 1956, this hotel has mastered the mid-century remodel with a cool, retro vibe that offers guests a glimpse of the past with modern luxury amenities in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Pre-paid rates start at $127 at this fun and fashionable hideaway.
Honorable Mention:  The Saguaro Hotel
