EL MIRAGE, Ariz. -- A homeowner who was home when four suspects tried to break in used her police skills to help authorities find and arrest the suspects.

Aprilli Johnson said she saw four males in her back yard on Wednesday near the 15700 block of North Alto Street.

She said they had a shovel and were attempting to remove her window screens.

The suspects eventually saw Johnson watching them and fled the area. Johnson continued to watch them and found out where they went.

She then called police and led them to where the four suspects were.

The suspects have been identified as Amir Smith, 20, and Terrance Stokes, 19.  The two other male suspects are juveniles, ages 15 and 17.

All four suspects face burglary, possession of burglary tools and trespassing charges.

Smith and Stokes were booked into the Maricopa County jail while the two juvenile suspects were booked into Durango Juvenile Facility.
