Oro Valley teacher indicted for sexual misconductPosted: Updated:
ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities say a high school art teacher in southern Arizona has been indicted in a sexual misconduct case involving two male students.
Oro Valley police said Tuesday that 33-year-old Melissa Ann Dalton was indicted on multiple counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
Dalton has taught for less than a year at Ironwood Ridge High in Oro Valley, which is near Tucson. School officials say she's been placed on paid administrative leave.
Police say Dalton was arrested April 30, but she has been released from Pima County Jail after posting a $7,500 bond.
The Arizona Daily Star says court documents show Dalton allegedly engaged in sexual acts with a 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy in her classroom and in her car on several occasions from February to April.
