Garden Guy celebrates National Public Gardens DayPosted: Updated:
The fourth annual National Public Gardens Day, is Friday. It’s a national day of celebration that invites people to explore the beauty of their local green spaces while raising awareness of the important role public gardens play in promoting conservation, education and environmental preservation.
Desert Botanical Garden, which is located in Papago Park, will celebrate National Public Gardens Day by offering free admission 7 a.m.- 5 p.m. to visitors with the free admission pass. The pass can be downloaded from the Better Homes and Garden website, www.bhg.com/npgd.
Admission to the Spring Butterfly Exhibit is also free to visitors with the admission pass. Please note that the garden will close at 5 p.m. on May 11 for a special event.
