5 Tips to avoid belly bloat

PHOENIX -- We've all probably experienced it at least once -- the dreaded belly bloat. It's never a good feeling.

Registered dietitian and fitness pro Tiffani Bachus explained what causes it and shared five tips to help you avoid it.

  1. Balance sodium with potassium
  2. Get your daily fiber intake
  3. Drink at least half your body weight of water (i.e. Drink oz. of water if you weigh 150 lbs.)
  4. Avoid sugar, gluten, trans fats
  5. Avoid caffeine and alcohol
