PHOENIX -- Wednesday was off to a nice start with clear skies and Valley temperatures in the 60s and 70s. Look for partly sunny skies this afternoon and highs near 92 degrees.
A low-pressure system moving through the Southwest will continue to bring a threat of thunderstorms in Northern and Eastern Arizona today, and potentially the deserts of Southern Arizona as well.
There is a slight chance for a stray storm to move into the far East Valley, but storms in that area could also push some blowing dust into the Valley.
Coarse particles are expected to be especially high today in the Valley's air thanks to the threat for blowing dust, and there's also another Ozone Health Watch for the Valley today.
Afternoon temperatures will begin to warm up after today, especially over the weekend when triple digits are likely.
