Phoenix weather: Mild start to new weekPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- After a weekend of sunshine and highs in the mid 90s, the new week is off to a mild start. Under clear skies, most Valley locations saw morning temperatures in the 60s, and temperatures dipped to the upper 20s in the high country.
This afternoon, temperatures will stay near normal for this time of year, which means highs in the low 90s in the deserts.
A broad area of low pressure over the Southwest could draw a bit of moisture into the state, leading to isolated thunderstorms over the next couple of days in Eastern Arizona.
The rest of the state should see sunshine, but mild temperatures through midweek.
Look for upper 80s in the Valley Tuesday and low 90s Wednesday.
A late-week warm-up looks likely, with upper 90s by Friday and triple digits possible for the weekend.
