GILBERT, Ariz. -- Candles flickered in their hands as friends and family remembered the four people shot and killed Wednesday in Gilbert.

Among the crowd at Saturday night's vigi was Hugo Mederos, seen hugging many friends tightly. The father lost his daughter Amber, granddaughter Lily and ex-wife Lisa in the shooting spree at their home.

Gilbert police said J.T. Ready, a neo-Nazi, opened fire on them and Amber's boyfriend, Jim Hiott, before turning the gun on himself. Amber's friend Crystal Seibert said her friend was always smiling and was a wonderful mother.

The father of 16-month-old Lily, Jess Boggs, was also at the vigil.

At the home of the senseless murders, neighbors have been leaving teddy bears, flowers and balloons.

Not by her father's side Saturday night is the only survivor of the massacre, Brittney Mederos, 19.

Friends held a car wash Saturday to raise money for the funerals.

The family will hold a private vigil on Sunday.
