AVONDALE, Ariz. -- An Avondale man was arrested after police say he molested a girl for nearly a decade.
Paul Chapa, 49, was booked into Jail Friday.
According to court documents, Chapa started sexually abusing the girl in August 2002 when she was three or four-years-old.
He lived in Tonopah at the time.
The alleged molestation continued even after Chapa moved to Goodyear in 2007, and stayed there until 2008.
He then moved to Avondale where he has been the past four years. Documents say the last incident was during this year's Super Bowl.
Police say the victim passed a note in school to a friend on May 3 claiming she had been touched inappriopriately since she was little. She later told the school pyschologist, and that led Chapa's arrest.
According to court documents, he said he didn't do anything to harm the victim. He also allegedly told investigators he was he drunk during the alleged crimes. Court documents say he then explained a few more molestations and said he was sorry.
Chapa faces multiple counts of child molestation, sexual exploitation of a minor, sexual conduct with a minor, and indecent exposure.
