PHOENIX -- Cinco de Mayo isn't just about good food and music. It's about dancing, too.
A Mesa-based Ballet Folklorico group stopped by to show 3TV's Kaley O'Kelley and Javier Soto how it's done.
Ballet Folklorico Alegria is a traditional Mexican dance troupe that was formed to give kids from low socioeconomic families a positive outlet and a way to build their self-esteem, all while learning about their culture.
The group, which ranges in age from kindergartners to college-age students, is taught by three young volunteers, the youngest of whom is 16 and the oldest of whom is 19.
Ballet Folklorico Alegria is supported solely by donations made at their performances.
