Arizona principal regrets kissing secretary in classroomPosted: Updated:
QUARTZSITE, Ariz. -- Cell phone video taken by a teen in a tiny Arizona town has the entire world talking.
But there's one person who doesn't want to say a whole lot about the incident.
"Oh, I'm not interested right now," Steve McClenning said.
McClenning is the high school principal caught on camera kissing his secretary in the classroom.
The nearly 3-minute steamy kiss happened in April at The Scholars' Academy in Quartzsite.
"It's totally uncalled for. They're supposed to be role models for our students there," said parent Tanda Bastin.
"This is on campus with our children present!" said Erin Joslin, another concerned mother.
Myranda Garber, 16, captured the fondling and the kiss on camera through a hole in the wall of a classroom.
"I was shocked. I didn't expect it really,” Garber said.
Bastin and Garber said the principal and secretary are both married, just not to each other.
McClenning resigned after this scandal broke. The secretary, identified by "Inside Edition" as Billie Madewell, was dismissed by the school board.
Both school officials' last days are June 30, 2012.
TV show producers from "Inside Edition" ambushed the principal. McClenning didn't want to do a full interview, but did say he has regrets.
"Do you feel like you owe an apology to your students?" the "Inside Edition" producer asked.
"Of course, I've already done that," McClenning replied.
