PHOENIX -- A quick-moving cold front brought a bit of rain around metro Phoenix Thursday morning and a few reports of small hail. Around the Valley, some of the bigger rainfall amounts included:

Gilbert: 0.20"

Mesa: 0.20"

Buckeye: 0.17"

Anthem: 0.16"

Apache Junction: 0.12"

"Officially" at Sky Harbor International Airport, we received 0.03" of rain, only our third day with measureable rain this year. For the year, we've only had 0.33" putting us nearly 3 inches behind the average for this time of year.

Around the state, Payson and Prescott both received about 1/2 inch of rain. Sedona, Flagstaff and Williams each recorded about 4/10".

As of 2 p.m. Thursday, the line of showers has moved into eastern Arizona and will exit the state by tonight.
