TUCSON, Ariz. -- The remains of a dead Tucson baby have been found.

The body of three-month-old Vanessa Martinez was discovered near Interstate 10 and Toltec Road, near Eloy, Ariz., in a shallow grave around five o'clock Tuesday morning.

Scent dogs from Southern Arizona Rescue dogs, Inc. led detectives to the body.

The baby's parents are under arrest for the baby's death.

Johnathan Kesterson and Olivia Martinez are in the Pima County jail.

Authorities had been investigating the child abuse and murder of the baby since the child's death in January.

Police arrested the baby's mother Friday.

Kesterson was arrested on an unrelated charge in San Diego, and sent back to Tucson.
