Vice President Biden in Phoenix for fundraiser

PHOENIX -- Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Phoenix Wednesday night. He is scheduled to attend a fundraiser luncheon on Thursday.

The luncheon is taking place at the Heard Museum on Central Avenue in downtown Phoenix. It's being hosted by the Arizona Finance Committee for the Obama Victory Fund 2012.

The proceeds raised from the luncheon will go towards the Obama-Biden campaign which has been gearing up for the 2012 presidential race.

The presumed Republican presidential nominee, Mitt Romney is scheduled to be to be in Arizona this week for a Republican National Committee meeting. That meeting and fund-raising event is going to be at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, this Friday.
