TEMPE, Ariz. -- Authorities are asking for the public's help locating a missing Tempe man whose abandoned car was found at the Grand Canyon.
Shaw Joseph Ostermann, 47, was last seen by his family on March 12 in Tempe.
Grand Canyon National Park rangers began searching for Ostermann this week after becoming suspicious that his car, a white 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass, had been abandoned in a parking lot adjacent to the Visitor Center on the South Rim.
Shaw is believed to be traveling alone.
He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, approximately 220 pounds with brown eyes and thinning brown hair. He usually wears glasses.
Anyone who has seen Ostermann since March 12 or has information that might help rangers locate him is asked to contact the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center at 928-638-7805.
