AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) -- It's Bubba Watson's first full day as Masters champion. The left-hander beat South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen (LOO'-ee OOST'-hay-zihn) on the second hole of a playoff yesterday evening in Augusta to claim the green jacket and his first major title.

Both players hit shots on Sunday that will live on in Masters lore.

After a faulty tee shot on the second extra hole, Watson shaped a sweeping hook out of the pine straw from 155 yards away, landing the ball safely on the green. He won it with a two-putt par after Oosthuizen had to settle for a bogey.

Oosthuizen had grabbed the lead by holing his second shot on the par-5 second hole for just the fourth double-eagle in the tournament's 76-year history.

Phil Mickelson, Peter Hanson, Lee Westwood, and Matt Kuchar (KOO'-chur) finished in a four-way tie for third at 8-under, two shots off the winning score.

Tiger Woods finished the tournament 5-over par.

Watson is the fifth left-hander to don a green jacket over the last 10 years and gives Americans back-to-back majors after they'd gone a record six straight without. Keegan Bradley won last year's PGA Championship.
