Phoenix weather: Monday forecast

PHOENIX -- Monday's temperatures around the Valley are expected to about the same as Sunday and perhaps a few degrees warmer.

Monday will be mostly sunny with a high of about 94 degrees.

Expect some high clouds tonight and for the next couple of days. Temperatures overnight Sunday in the Valley will be in the 60s.

The overnight lows Sunday in the high country will be mild in the 40s and 50s.

The high country on Monday will have highs in the 60's and 70s with a few 80s showing up in northern Arizona.

Temperatures start to fall on Tuesday with a forecast high of 90. Then on Wednesday the high in the Valley will be about 80 with highs in the 70s to finish out the week.

A storm system is due in later in the week that could bring Arizona some cooler temperatures and a chance of rain next weekend.

Easter Sunday was sunny early and then the clouds rolled in during the afternoon hours.

The high Sunday was 91 degrees with light winds. The average high for the day is 83.

It was warm all around the state on Sunday with a high of 63 in Flagstaff.
