Phoenix mother drives drunk with kids in car

PHOENIX -- Police have arrested a mother who they say drove drunk and crashed into the wall of a school. Her young children were with her in the vehicle at the time.

Deana Unterbrink was arrested Tuesday night.

Police found her standing near her Lincoln Navigator outside in the parking lot of Adams Traditional Academy, which is located southwest of 23rd Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Road, just east of Interstate 17. Three children, ages 2, 3 and 5, were crying in the lot.

According to court paperwork, officers said they found an open container of alcohol and three small unopened bottles of alcohol Unterbrink's purse.

Damage to the school wall was estimated at $1,000.

Unterbrink, 34, has been booked on multiple counts of DUI -- 3 counts of DUI with a passenger under the age of 15in the vehicle and 2 counts of aggravated DUI.
