PD: Man demands oxycodone, threatens to blow up WalgreensPosted: Updated:
SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Surprise police are asking for the public's help finding a man who threatened to blow up a Walgreens during a robbery Thursday night.
Police said the suspect used a note to demand oxycodone from the pharmacy near Bell and Reems roads just after 8 p.m.
The suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of oxycodone then drove north on Reems Road, possibly in a red vehicle.
The suspect was described as a white male, 25 to 30 years old, approximately 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 4 inches tall, with a thin build and stubble on his face. He was wearing a long-sleeved brown hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark-rimmed glasses at the time of the robbery.
Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to call the Surprise Police Department at 623-222-4000 or 480-WITNESS to remain anonymous. Silent Witness is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and/or conviction.
