Phoenix weather: Warm weekend aheadPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A week that started with highs in the 50s will end in the mid 80s in the Valley of the Sun.
Look for Valley highs near 84 Friday under mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows will stay mild over the weekend in the 50s, and afternoon highs are forecast to top out near 85 both Saturday and Sunday.
High clouds will increase over the weekend ahead of a storm that looks to move in late Sunday and early Monday. Winds should also pick up, leading to breezy conditions late Sunday.
Rain chances for the Valley are slim, but there is a 10-percent chance for showers Monday morning.
There's about a 40-percent chance of rain and snow showers in Northern Arizona, but for the most part the storm will pass by to the north.
Temperatures Monday will only top out in the mid 70s after the storm leaves behind some cooler air.
