Federal lawmakers to hold hearing at Ariz. CapitolPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX (AP) — Four Republican U.S. House members from Arizona and New Mexico are holding a hearing at the Arizona Capitol in Phoenix on Friday.
They will hear testimony from Gov. Jan Brewer and others on economic and property right concerns.
Participants include Rep. Steve Pearce of New Mexico and Arizona lawmakers Trent Franks, Paul Gosar and Ben Quayle. Pearce is the leader of a caucus of congressional members from the West.
Besides Brewer, other scheduled witnesses at Friday's hearing include the presidents of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Arizona Farm Bureau.
Others include the chairman of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors and a lawyer for Arizona irrigation and electrical districts.
