Mom dishes out embarrassing tough love to troubled son

SPOKANE -- Anyone driving along West 37th on Spokane's South Hill Saturday might have seen a boy holding a sign.  The sign read: "I'm a thief, I like to steal, please pray for me."

LaJuane Roberson was forced by his mother to stand on the side of the street with the sign.  She hopes it will teach him a big lesson.

"This is nothing compared to jail.  Nothing compared to hell.  There's only two places you go when you're out living there, living life.  That's bad," said LaJuane's mother Talesha.

Talesha said she hopes his embarrassment will serve as a warning for his four younger siblings.
