Phoenix weather: Warm-up begins todayPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A ridge of high pressure is building over the West, bringing above normal afternoon temperatures to our region.
Monday's Valley high was 70 degrees, and today should be four or five degrees warmer.
By Thursday, we'll top out close to 80 degrees, with mostly sunny skies expected all week.
Overnight lows are forecast to dip to the 40s.
In the high country, look for dry weather as well, with highs in the 50s and 60s.
No snow or rain is in the forecast until early next week at the soonest.
