Another storm on the horizonPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Tuesday's Valentines Day storm packed a punch for Arizona's high country, but brought very little rain to the Valley. Sky Harbor officially got no measurable rain, but other parts of the Valley saw light rain and even some hail.
Tuesday's high was only 61 degrees -- a full 10 degrees below average.
Morning temperatures Wednesday dipped to the 30s across town, and this afternoon we'll only warm to about 64 degrees under partly sunny skies. Expect 30s and 40sin the high country today with a brief break from the snow.
Tuesday's storm dumped 6 inches of snow on Flagstaff, 8t inches in Show Low and about 6 inches on both Sunrise and Snowbowl ski areas.
A storm Wednesday brings a 20-percent chance of rain to the Valley and a chance for a bit more snow in the high country.
Another storm Sunday brings a better chance for snow, along with a chance for more Valley rain.
Afternoon temperatures are expected to stay in the 60s for the next week in the Valley.
