ON THE ROAD TO FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- A patchwork quilt of saggy gray clouds hangs over the Valley of the Sun Tuesday as this beautiful state turns 100 years old.
Happy birthday, Arizona.
Our assignment on this momentous day: find a snowstorm.
After a brutal season of way too little snow, reports are that Flagstaff, the Mogollon Rim and eastern Arizona are going to get some snow today.
Let's hope so.
As things stand now, we're going to be in a lot of trouble come wildfire season.
I'm racing up Interstate 17 with photographer James Apalategui. We'll see what happens.
Check back for updates.
