1)    Contra-Tiempo Urban Latin Dance Theater: Mesa Arts Center presents the Los Angeles based dance company, which fuses Salsa, Afro-Cuban, West African, Hip-Hop, and abstract dance theater. Following a two-week educational residency, the company will incorporate youth from the community into this performance. Saturday, February 11, 7:30PM

2)    Sunday A’fair: AZ Centennial Celebration: Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts presents free outdoor concerts, at the Scottsdale Civic Center Park, right next to the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.  This Sunday’s concert is a special Centennial Celebration, and features The Persuaders & Cold Shott, and The Hurricane Horns. 12PM-4PM, Sunday, February 12.

3)    Seussical Jr.: Musical Theatre of Anthem presents the fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza performed by highly skilled youth ages 13-18. February 16-19, February 16-18, 7PM and February 18-19, 3PM at the Boulder Creek High School’s Mini Auditorium, in Anthem.  

4)    Heard Museum’s 22nd Annual World Championship Hoop Dance Contest: Don’t miss the Heard Museum’s hoop dance contest, which combines artistry, sheer athleticism, and cultural traditions to create a unique competition. Top American Indian and Canadian First Nations hoop dancers from the United States and Canada prepare to compete for the prestigious title of world champion during the two-day event, at Phoenix’s Heard Museum on Saturday and Sunday, February 11 & 12, 9:30AM-5PM.
