PHOENIX -- A sixth person has been arrested in connection with the killings of a Paradise Valley couple who were found bound and burned beyond recognition in their home late last month.
Paradise Valley police said Friday that they arrested 25-year-old Katherine Adele Austin of Peoria on a charge of hindering prosecution. Police say the investigation into the murder of Lawrence and Glenna Shapiro is still "active" and that detectives still were following up on leads. Of the five other arrests made in the case, only 31-year-old Michael Lee Crane is charged with the couple's Jan. 30 murder and setting their home on fire.
The others were all charged with theft, trafficking in stolen goods or hindering prosecution.
