MCSO investigates maid service business; 2 arrestedPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Maricopa County sheriff's detectives arrested two people during an investigation into a north Phoenix maid service business.
Detectives determined that employees were using false identification to unlawfully gain employment.
MCSO served search warrants on the company headquarters near Cave Creek and Bell roads Wednesday morning. Detectives arrested two employees and seized business documents and computers.
The investigation is continuing.
This was MCSO's 57th employer sanctions case since 2008. According to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the total number of arrests for all 57 employer sanctions operations now stands at 574. Of those arrests, 394 were undocumented immigrants using stolen identifications, a class four felony.
