Heart bus saves livesPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- One in three people have some form of heart disease and many of them aren't even aware of it.
If you think you don't have time to get screened for potential problems, then you want to know about the Heart Bus.
Kaley O'Kelley and Scott Pasmore got on board and learned that the Heart Bus team can do six tests that might cost you thousands if you had them done at a hospital. On the heart bus, those six essential tests will cost you $179.
Dr. Kevin Klassen, the medical directory for Cardiology Services at Scottsdale Healthcare, explained how it works.
The tests that are part of the Heart Disease, Stroke & Aneurysm Prevention Package are an echocardiogram, a carotid artery ultrasound, an abdominal aortic aneurysm ultrasound, a 12-lead electrocardiogram EKG), and ankle brachial index (ABI) and an arterial stiffness index (ASI).
