Thief removes A/C parts from school district yard

PHOENIX -- A reward is being offered to help find the person who removed parts from air-conditioning units in a school district business yard on Jan. 19.

The metal theft was captured by a surveillance camera.

Police said a black male, 16 to 25 years old, wearing a "beanie" cap and a dark sweater entered the Roosevelt School District's fenced business yard near Southern Avenue and 16th Street at approximately 12:42 a.m.

The suspect caused more than $20,000 in damages.
