Driver cited in light rail crashPosted: Updated:
Phoenix--Police have cited a driver for causing a crash with a light rail train in Phoenix.
Just before 5:30pm police were called to 17th ave and Camelback. Police said a car and a light rail trail were both westbound on Camelback when the driver of the car turned against a red light and was t-boned by the light rail train. The car was pushed into a utility pole and sustained heavy damage. The light rail sustained damage to the front bumper.
The driver of the car refused treatment.
