PHOENIX -- One horse is dead and two others were injured after two trucks collided in South Phoenix Saturday nightFirefighters and police officers were on the scene near 35th Avenue and Broadway Road where a tow truck and a truck carrying a horse trailer collided around 7:30 p.m.The trailer flipped over, trapping the horses inside. One horse was killed and two others were rescued from the trailer. They were injured, but they are expected to be OK."It was pretty tricky," said Capt. Scott Walker with the Phoenix Fire Department. "It's not something Phoenix Fire does every day -- cut up horse trailers and remove 1,200-pound horses." Three people were transported to a local hospital. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
