Man accused of sex abuse at Scottsdale library

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A 27-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly inappropriately touching a high school student at a Scottsdale public library.

The 16-year-old male victim told police that a man inappropriately touched him at the Palomino Library, which is on the campus of Desert Mountain High School.

The man then followed the teen into the restroom where he allegedly peered through the stall door.

The victim reported the crime to the school staff and school resource officer.

The suspect returned to the library the next day and was taken into custody.

Juan Oswaldo Borrayo-Velasquez was booked into Scottsdale City Jail. He is facing felony charges of sexual abuse, unlawful viewing of a person and false information.
