PHOENIX -- Two adults and a child were injured in a crossover collision on Interstate 10 near 63rd Avenue Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred at about 9:45 a.m. Both directions of I-10 were closed for a time.
According to Bart Graves with the Department of Public Safety, a woman driving a Honda sedan with a 6-year-old in the back seat apparently swerved to miss a vehicle that moved into her lane and lost control of her car.
The Honda crashed through the cable barrier and ran head-on into a pickup truck on the other side of the freeway.
The woman suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. The child was taken to Phoenix Children's Hospital with a broken arm. The driver of the pickup truck was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital to get checked out for head injuries.
