Woman stabbed to death in northwest Tucson, daughter calls 911Posted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- A mother of three is dead after police say a man stabbed her to death inside her home on the northwest side.
It happened early Saturday morning near Orange Grove and Camino de la Tierra.
Saturday afternoon the 6100 block of north ginger avenue appeared calm, quiet.
But police say at around 12:30 in the morning, deputies found 38-year-old Armando Lopez covered in blood outside a home.
Inside, 44-year-old Marie Antoinette Mesa was bleeding from multiple stab wounds. She later died at the hospital.
"She was the kindest person, loving mother, hardworking person, she had 2 jobs, always on the go," said a neighbor.
Police say Mesa's 16-year-old daughter and 10-year-old nephew were inside the home during the stabbing. They called 911.
