TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Tucson police lieutenant was struck by a suspected drunk driver early Saturday morning.
The accident at Oracle Road and Orange Grove closed the intersection for several hours.
Lieutenant Lew Bentley was on-duty in a marked TPD cruiser driving northbound when he was struck by a driver who ran a red light.
Bentley sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital and released.
The accident is still under investigation.
