PHOENIX -- It's a WWII story that rarely told -- the story of the Tuskegee Airman, the first African American military aviators in the U.S. armed forces.

According to actor Cuba Gooding Jr., his new movie "Red Tails," which was produced and funded by George Lucas, is a "love letter" to these unsung heroes.

Gooding chatted with 3TV's Scott Pasmore about the movie live via satellite.

"Red Tails" is rated PG-13. The movie is in theaters now.
