Tess Rafols interviews Executive Director Matt Lehrman about Theatre, Music, Dance, Art, Festivals & Cultural Attractions. This week features:

1)    Shen Yun Performing Arts: Go to ASU Gammage Jan. 27-29, Fri-Sat 7:30PM and Sun 2PM, for a magical journey through China’s 5,000-year history and culture, through a lineup of dances, songs, and musical scores.

2)    Circus Vargas: The circus is coming to town! Don’t miss this spectacular, new, animal-free Big Top Circus show. Janaury 26-February 3 in Tempe at Arizona Mills Mall, and February 9-13 in Phoenix at Metro Center.   

3)    In the Devil’s Frying Pan: In honor of Arizona’s Centennial celebration Desert Foothills Theater presents this original play, which tells the story of the founding of Arizona through first-person accounts of life in the Territory prior to 1912. February 2-Febraury 19, Friday and Saturday 7:30PM and Sunday 2PM, at the Stagecoach Village in Cave Creek. 

4)    With Two Wings: Tempe Center for the Arts is proud to present the world premiere of this show written by Anne Negri while she was an MFA student at ASU. It is a heartwarming story about love and letting go.
