Tucson police hold open house for new state of the art crime labPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Tucson Police Department held an open house Wednesday for their new crime lab.
The facility has more than 60,000 square feet of space and is state of the art.
Dignitaries on hand for the open house included Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and TPD Chief Roberto Villasenor.
"Now we have the space to avoid contamination of evidence and we also have the suffixion numbers of equipment that can do similar analysis at the same time," said Chief Roberto Villasenor.
The new lab is located at Flowing Wells and Miracle Mile.
