Winter storm moves outPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A weak winter storm moves out of Arizona Tuesday, leaving behind a couple inches of snow in Arizona's high country. The Flagstaff area got around an inch or two Monday and Monday night, with Arizona Snowbowl ski slopes reporting about 3 inches.
A bit more snow fell in Eastern Arizona, where Sunrise Park Resort reports 6 new inches of snow on their slopes.
Isolated light snow can be expected Tuesday in far Eastern Arizona's White Mountains, as the storm system quickly pushes east.
The Valley didn't see much rain from the storm. Sky Harbor officially recorded just a trace of rain. Tuesday, expect mostly sunny skies and Valley highs in the mid 60s.
It's expected to be a chilly evening. Under clear skies, Valley lows will dip to the low 40s, with outlying areas possibly dipping to near freezing.
Over the next couple of days, high pressure is forecast to build over the Southwest, with afternoon temperatures topping out in the mid 70s by the weekend with plenty of sunshine.
