Winter storm moves through ArizonaPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A winter storm moves through Arizona Monday, bringing a chance for Valley rain and higher elevation snow.
The low-pressure system is moving in from California, with the best chances of Valley rain Monday evening and overnight. Although rain chances are up to about 60 percent, rainfall totals should be light.
In the high country, a winter weather advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. Monday through 5 a.m. Tuesday morning for snow above 5,500 feet.
Flagstaff is expected to get a couple of inches of snow, while higher elevations could see up to 8inches.
The storm is expected to move through quickly, with temperatures forecast to begin warming up on Wednesday.
Look for sunshine and mid-70s by next weekend.
