ANTHEM, Ariz. -- Thousands of people came to Anthem Sunday in remembrance of a slain Maricopa County sheriff's deputy.
"Hands Across Anthem" passed around a jar to raise money for Deputy William Coleman's family. He was shot and killed Jan. 8 in the line of duty while trying to stop a burglary at a medical plaza in Anthem.
Organizers were hoping to raise $50,000 for Coleman's family. He is survived by his wife, Beth, four children, his father and four siblings.
