Yuma police investigate hazing allegations at Kofa H.S.

YUMA, Ariz. -- The Yuma Police Department is investigating allegations of hazing by members of the Kofa High School boys soccer team.  

The Yuma Police Department is working in conjunction with the Yuma Union High School District.

The investigation involves the varsity and junior varsity teams, according to police spokesman Sgt. Clint Norred.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is in its preliminary stage.

"The district takes allegations of hazing very seriously and are committed to deterring this type of behavior," said Toni Badone, Yuma Union High School District superintendant." Kofa High School Administration has met with the teams and parents involved in this continuing investigation."
