TUCSON, Ariz. -- A dozen Old Pueblo educators are lovin' it.

The Southern Arizona McDonald's Operator's Association was handing out McGrants Wednesday.

The money will help local teachers give students an interesting learning experience they otherwise couldn't afford.

"My class is going to do a little bit more in science and we're going to create some solar gadgets to promote solar energy for solar city," said Fifth grade teacher Linda Koehler.

The group has given over $20,000 in McGrants to local schools since 2010.
