Weather changes for the weekend

Posted: Updated:

PHOENIX -- Clear skies meant another chilly start to the day on Thursday, with Valley temperatures in the 30s in many spots. The afternoon, however, should be a bit warmer than Wednesday, with high temperatures topping out at about 70 degrees.

The jet stream will take a dip over the next couple of days, bringing a change to our weather pattern.

Storms from the Northwest will come a little further south, bringing a chance of snow to Arizona's high country Saturday through early next week. There is a slight chance of light rain showers in the deserts, including the Valley, but the latest weather models show that chance is very slim.

Look for mostly cloudy skies over the weekend with temperatures still topping out in the low 70s.
