Davis-Monthan lockdown attributed to misunderstandingPosted: Updated:
TUCSON, Ariz. -- New details about Davis-Monthan Air Force Base being put on lockdown back in September are coming out.
A captain at DM says the entire incident was a misunderstanding and it was a false report of a hostage situation.
It stemmed from unconfirmed reports of gunfire which prompted officials to limit traffic onto the base and lock down schools.
In the end, no shots were fired and no gunman or weapon was found.
