Tucson traffic: Tanque Verde road work; River park construction; Gas prices

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Monday,  ADOT workers were out working on the eastbound curb lane on Tanque Verde Road and the right most left lane on southbound Sabino Canyon.

Those area will be closed because crews are installing a storm drain.

The work will take about three weeks to complete.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Some construction work by Southwest Gas will cause Grant Road underpasses to be closed this week at the Santa Cruz River Park.

Work crews will be installing gas lines between 7 A.M. and 5 P.M.

Keep an eye open for detours when you're heading through that area.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Drivers have been greeted in 2012 with the highest January gas prices ever and it could get worse.

Some analysts say prices at the pump could get close to $5 a gallon in some areas later this year.

The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.39. 

In Tucson, drivers are paying $3.18 a gallon on average.

That's up by 5¢ a gallon since last week.
