Q Up! BBQ taking part in Street Eats festival this weekendPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- While gourmet food trucks are huge in most big cities, they're a relatively new thing here in Phoenix, but they're catching on fast thanks to word of mouth recommendations and events like this weekend's Street Eats Food Truck Festival at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.
Devin Clough of Q Up! Barbeque is taking part of the festival and stopped by to offer the "Good Morning! Arizona" team a taste of his specialties. Yetta Gibson and Scott Pasmore heartily approved.
"We do BBQ a little different, with some flair, and fusion," reads Q-Up! Barbeque's Facebook page.
Gibson loved it.
"The best bbq I've tasted in quite a while!" she wrote on their Facebook Wall.
April Warnecke agreed, writing "Best BBQ ever! ... Those bbq nachos were incredible!" on her own Facebook page.
Twenty-seven other food trucks are slated to join Q-Up! Barbeque at Street Eats. With such a wide variety, there's sure to be something for everyone. Don't forget to leave room for dessert.
The Street Eats Food Truck Festival takes place Saturday, Jan. 14, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, near the Loop 101 and Indian Bend Road. Tickets are $10 per person. You can pay at the gate, or buy your tickets in advance online at www.saltriverfields.com or by phone at 1-888-490-0383.
