PHOENIX -- Phoenix police have arrested three suspects in two homicide cold cases.

In one, investigators put a case together against Carlos Valenzuela, 29. They say he shot and killed Tony Adams, 19, during a robbery at Christy Cove Park near 24th Street and Shea Boulevard in 2003.

Valenzuela is serving time in prison for a robbery that occurred about the time of the homicide.

In the other case, police arrested Jose Mendoza, 28, and Emetrio Salas, 25. They are accused in the shooting death of Jorge A. Reyes-Angulo.

The 18-year-old was killed following a street fight in a neighborhood near 91st Avenue and Indian School Road in 2005.

Investigators linked Mendoza and Salas to the killing through forensic evidence obtained at the scene.

Both were already in prison on unrelated charges.
