PHOENIX (AP) -- Gov. Jan Brewer says Arizona should celebrate the state's approaching Feb. 14 centennial and its improving finances by buying back several high-profile state buildings that were sold to close earlier budget shortfalls.

With the state's finances now healthier after years of spending cuts and borrowing, Brewer says legislators should allow the state to quickly repurchase the two legislative buildings and the Executive Tower in the Capitol Complex.

Those three buildings -- but not the domed Old Capitol -- were among properties included in sale-leaseback financing to help close previous years' budget gaps.

Brewer delivered her State of the State address to the Legislature on Monday, opening day for the 2012 regular session.
